Outfit Post : White on White

Hi guys,
Hope you are all doing great. I am having great time in city with lots of shopping, I already shopped half the mall...(Duh) j.k but yah this sale season has made everyone crazy specially us girls :) and more-so-over Monsoon has officially began in Delhi so enjoying every bits like walking in the rain, evening walk after down pour and eaiting lots of yumzaa food!!
Though coming to Delhi was for completely different purpose and I shall tell you guys the reason once it's done until than wish me luck!!
So if you have been following me on INSTAGRAM you'll know I finally got to visit the Gap store in select citywalk. I couldnt make it to the First day opening which was held on 30th May and was inaugurated by Bollywood diva Kangana Ranaut but nevertheless I finally did :)

I have been really lucky winning those giveaway or contest back to back and it happened again with the GapIndia contest too. I was asked to pick up whatever I liked from the women's section worth 20,000. It was the toughest decision to choose few among many pretty pretty stuffs but yah I came out of the store happily with 9 Items. Thanks GapIndia :)

My latest obsession : WHITEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Yes you heard it right. If you are following me on INSTAGRAM you'll know how obsessed I am with white be it clicking pictures on the white bedsheet or white table, everything that's white make me feel happy. you wont believe but I have been painting my nails white since a month, Call it an obsession, NO????
Same-thing with outfit, every store i visit i look for white shirt or white pyjama pant  and thus I found my perfect pair of whites that can be wore without giving a second thought.

I paired the Gap statement Tee with Boyfriend shorts and a slip-on from the same. They are all super comfy specially the boyfriend shorts that I have been wearing every other, its perfectly meant for me (i mean us - those without thigh gaps) shhhhhhhhhhhh
You should definitely check that when you visit the store next time and not to ignore Gap's shoe collections are just wow though very limited stock but they are all so cool. The Gap statement tee is on trend now or just to show-off you visited the Gap store (the only Gap store in India).
Hope you guys enjoy checking out the pics :) comment below and let me know how's it or if any suggestions or queries regarding the stuffs at the Gap store, May be I can tell the prizes if I remember. Kind enough???  :)

How To Have Longer Lasting Lipstick.

Here’s how to keep your lips looking great all day, so you don't have to re-apply your lipstick throughout the day.

Many says and I believe it depends on the Lipstick quality whether it last long on your lips or not.  But girls it is not the whole truth, Though the quality of lipstick really matters alot but sometimes even if we apply the same lipstick among the friend circle but still there comes a difference in longevity of lipstick. My friends  often ask me how do I manage to last the lipstick for longer period and having told them few steps for lipstick to last longer I am amazed myself after seeing  the result on them. A girl who has to reapply lipstick every two hours didn’t even had to retouch for more than four/five hours even after she uses the same lipstick she used to apply before. Isn’t it cool?

These are the quick and easy tips for lipstick to last longer than ever, it might need an extra effort but your lil effort is really worth it.. Try it once and see!! J

To begin with, these are the products i use to create a longer lasting lipstick. You can use lipstick, liner, balm, brush and powder of your choice:

1. Moisturize your lips before going to bed:

Before going to bed it’s very important to apply balm to your lips because when we sleep we don’t intake any fluids and that might lead to dryness of lips and because of that when you wake up your lips feel rough and dry. So if the base is not clear its obvious what ever you apply on it wont stay for long and it looks so untidy.. So in vest on a good balm, I would recommend you guys to use the Body shop balm its on reasonable price and the products works really well. If you are looking for cheaper ones or if you don’t find any good balm the best option available is Vaseline it contains Petroleum Jelly which will keep your lips fresh, plump, juicy and even protect your lips from drying.

2.  Clear the base:
Lips exfoliating scrub!!          Moisturizer and damp tooth brush!!
So you wake up with a fresh plump lips because you moisturized it the other night, So what next??  While washing your face see if your lips is still rough or not, if so gently use a lip exfoliating scrub or if you don’t have one gently massage with a good moisturizer and lightly scrub away the top surface of your lips with a damp toothbrush to get rid of dull and dry skin cells.

3.Balm to the rescue:

Once your lips is dry apply your favorite lip balm very lightly just so to make a perfect clear base, go for a wax like texture so that your lipstick stays longer if you don’t have one simply use your lip balm lightly and press a thin tissue in between your lips or over your lips so it takes away the excess oil from your lips. If you have lip primer you can use that instead of using balm in this step, but I prefer balm.

4.Draw with liner:

Define your lips with liner

create a base color with liner.

This step is really important. It’s always good to start with a liner to define the line of your lips and fill in lightly so as it will let your lipstick color stays for longer period and also it will make you look whole day as there is less chances of dissolving your lipstick. But there are many girls who don’t prefer using liner if you are one of them it’s  ok you can skip it. But yah doing so will give a better result.

5. Main girl:

So with the same or similar shade of lipstick start applying it around the lips till the border you drew earlier. If you know lipsticks won’t stick your lips for long try applying more of Matte texture rather than gloss because the glossy ones are easy to smudge and are more likely to fade on your lips. Even if you are using the gloss lipstick you can blot the juicy like texture with a tissue.

6. Tissue and Powder:

Take a thinnest tissue and place it on your lips and with the use of blush brush  dust a translucent powder like Make Up For Ever HD Powder over the lips, through the tissue. If you don’t have one you can even try with a simple powder preferably Johnsons baby powder.  This sets the color, without depositing a layer of powder.

7. Reapply the lipstick:

Reapply the lipstick gently; Adding a second layer of lipstick after blotting increases the pigment concentration relative to the creamy ingredients that are the enemies of lipstick longevity.

Now Smile you are all set to go J

I hope you enjoyed reading this post and I would love to hear a feedback or comments if you have tried this or have any queries, Always happy to help :)

'THE HAIR TALK' : My daily HairCare routine and more!!

Hi friends,
I am back finally!! I had a hectic month of May, Final exams followed by Entrance Exams and My Thesis submissions. So till i get my results i am super free like a Free Bird (Expect more blog post) and If you have been following me on Instagram you'll know I purchased Nikon Cool Pix L340 which is super easy to use and is giving a very good picture quality. I am officially using the camera for the first time for this blog post. (*excited*)

Tenzing Nima (www.shelifestyleblogger.blogspot.in)

From the moment i started my blog many of you have asked me about my Hair Care Routine and DIY coloring but I was waiting for a right moment to do this and thus expect this Post a lil detail.

Since November 2014 I didn’t had a cut and even that time it was just a Damaged Hair and a Tip cut a little trim here and there without touching the length and so this length in general has been growing since my second year of graduation (2012). In between all these years I have been coloring my hair very often as you can see the ombre color on the length of my hair were once a colored roots.  I was once very obsessed with the Honey Blonde color from the Streax Hair Color range and I do apply it whenever I feel the color is going lighter. It was in Jan this year I applied Red Hair color and since then with no proper care, my hair started to feel so rough, dry and became unmanageable. But thankfully I have been working on it lately and thus it’s showing a better result.

HairCare Routine

HairCare Routine

These are my daily HairCare dos and don't :

1.       I often change my shampoo and conditioner may be in a month or two or till I finishes my bottle.

2.       I shampoo and condition my hair every alternate days and If required in between I just rinse my hair and directly apply Conditioner without using shampoo because shampooing continuously makes hair very dry.

3.       Oiling is a must, I champi my hair with oil twice a week and I do oiling an hour before I go for wash, you can even leave it over night for better result and wash it next morning. Doing so will result to softer and helps your damage hair to heal and also helps for the hair growth.

4.       Shampoo and condition the right way. Shampoo are for roots and conditioner for the tips.

5.       Once I come out of shower I wrap my wet hair with towel and let the towel suck in more than half amount of water present on my hair. Doing so it will make you easier to blowdry later or also If you rub your hair in complete wet situation with towel than there is the possibility of getting a split ends. This method ( wrapping with the towel for approx 15-20 mins) helped me to stop growing the split ends.

6.       Once the water are mostly sucked in I detangle my hair with my fingers followed by combing it with wide tooth comb.

7.       If required I use Hair cream or Hair serum. ( last time I have used the streax hair serum and it was good) but its been more than a month I didn’t apply any hair cream or serum.

8.       I blowdry only when in hurry, otherwise I prefer Air dry.

So these are the little something I do to my hair daily, they might look quite common but trust me these are the only means for healthy hair apart from eating right.

My HairCare Routine

I tried answering few of   FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) regarding my Hair.

Q1. How do you manage to style long Hair in this weather?
I know my hair is not too long to be unmanageable but still considering the trends these days its long enough.. haha J Jokes apart, I sometime feels so frustrate by my hair length in such heat and more over tieing my hair or doing the up knot makes me feel so heavy and often leads to head ache. So I prefer doing the simple braids or secure my hair with holder if required otherwise I prefer keeping it loose or untied hair. (Simpler the better)

Q2. How to Shampoo and Condition the right way?
So this is one of the most important thing I consider in my hair care routine. We have been shampooing and conditioning our hair all these years but did you ever notice whether you are doing it right or wrong? Doing it wrong way result to as problem like dandruff, dryness etc.
To begin with:
·         Take a coin size amount of shampoo for average hair length and apply it on the wet hair, begin it from the roots. Keep adding water as required to create good amount of foam and simply massage from roots to hair lengths for like 1-2 mins.
·         Rinse them off until you feel it’s completely clear.
·         Apply a coin size amount of conditioner to the length of your hair (below your shoulder, for short hair below your ears). Do not apply it on the roots of hair, It might create dandruff and dryness to your roots. Simply apply to the length and and tips because as your hair grows the required vitamins and nutrients are not able to reach to the complete ends so they need proper care.
·         Do not roll your hair for a top knot without rinsing off the conditioner because it will again touch the scalp.
·         Massage the Hair ends and tips softly and rinse it off when you feel it’s enough.
·         Make sure you rinse them off completely clear.

Q3. How often do we need to wash our hair?
There’s no exact or specific days mentioned anywhere but after so much of experience and studies I have felt that washing them every alternate days gives the best result.

Q4. Does coloring damage hair?
No not at all. But you need to take proper care after coloring otherwise it will damage your hair. Proper care in the sense applying Hair serum and not exposing it directly in sun for too long etc.

Q5. How to bring shine to my hair? It’s too dry.
What appears outside is what you are inside, Follow a proper diet. Nutrition plays a key role in hair growth and good nutrition radiates on our hair and skin. The nutrients which we eat help to fortify the hair follicles and the scalp. A balanced diet rich in proteins are highly recommended for healthy hair.

Below mentioned are some of the key points to better and healthier hair:

1.       USE HEAT PROTECTANT : It’s very important to use heat protectant spray or cream before using any heat on your hair without which you will burn your hair.

2.       EAT RIGHT : Always follow a proper diet and Smoking is Big No No.

3.       CHAMPI : Oiling your hair is very important specially before wash and giving it a lil massage wont hurt.

4.       TRIM TRIM : Trim the ends every month or once in two months for healthier and faster growing hair. Cut them the so called ‘spilt ends’ they are good for nothing.

CURRENTLY USING TRESEMME HAIR SPA REJUVENATION SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER: They are working very well for my hair and so i decided to stick with it for one more month.

Tresemme Hair Spa Rejuvenation shampoo and conditioner

My favorite wide tooth comb. It's from Forever21.

#DearMe

What would you tell your younger self?

That’s the question YouTube is asking women around the world for its #DearMe initiative. Launched in honor of International Women’s Day on March 8, YouTube is encouraging people to upload a video letter to the site, addressing their younger selves and the issues they faced growing up. Famous youtuber such as Essie Button, Michelle Phan, Scherezade shroff, Miss Malini and more have already uploaded #DearMe video and trust me they are really inspiring and encouraging. After watching their videos i thought i should also contribute to this campaign and i am doing my part here.

These are the few messages i would give to my younger self :

#DearMe

1.STOP SETTLING FOR ANYTHING LESS : Life is too short to settle for anything less than what we truly want. The only way to embrace your potential is to stop settling. Excellence is a place where people who refuse to settle for mediocrity live; it is where one reaps from all the hardwork sown. It is a journey of continuos progression toward the goals in your life.

"The minute you settle for less than you deserve, you get even less than you settled for."

2.GO WITH THE FLOW : When you screw up, Don't panic, It happens!! Just accept it and move on with life, Try not to over think for weeks, months and years about something that went wrong. Learn from the mistake, Pick it up and move on with life.

3.DO IT NOW : Time wasted is time lost for ever, Hence procrastination, that is the habit of postponing things, is rightly called the thief of time. Do not postpone and don't wait for a right time, you have to do it now and make it happen right instead of waiting for the right moment.

4.EMBRACE YOUR LIFE : Just let go of how you thought your life should be and embrace the life that is trying to work its way into your conciousness. Always remember everything in life happens for a reason.

5.ACCEPT WHO YOU ARE : Stop being someone else and Accept the real you. You are unique and yes you are your own kind of beautiful. It doesn't matter if you are short and over weight, Don't put pressure on yourself, instead of competing to someone else, look for the positive side in you and work for the better you.

BE YOUR OWN KIND OF BEAUTIFUL : BE YOU!!

CELEBRATE BEING A WOMAN

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

FRESHERS TIPS

I know I know how excited you guys are being out of school as there will be no bells, after class activities, discipline teacher etc but Hey guys to tell you a bitter truth you have got more responsibilities on your shoulder, you are nearer to your dreams, your parent's dreams and it is that time of your life where a one single mistake will ruin your whole career dream or a life in particular so Be more focused on what ever you do and make sure you have a particular aim of doing this current course otherwise its of no use going with the flows as this road shall end soon and you will hang on between.

FRESHERS TIPS

Keeping things balanced is key to getting the most out of college life. The freedom that comes with going to college is amazing, and no one can blame you for partying hard during the first few weeks. So to begin with my main points:

1.JUDICIOUS USE OF TIME

In most colleges in India we have morning college for only 3-4hrs exceptional to colleges in south India they mostly have a tight schedule but still Judicious use of time is very important. Specially those who have more free time should think on it wisely as a popular saying goes "Time and Tide wait for none"...

2.TIMETABLE ARE A MUST HAVES

Timetable or a daily routine structure are a must have so that you can follow to it and you can able to make sure you don't waste time. But while making or fixing the routine or getting the timetable done you have to make sure if you can follow those, otherwise it's of no use of having a good well written and designed timetable which you can't follow.

3.PART TIME JOBS

I have always wanted to do a part time job since when I was a fresher but then because of not being focussed or being lazy I couldn't and also I have heard my seniors saying it's not possible getting a part time job this and that and so fool I am to have believed them (my fault though), Anyways to be really honest If you can do a part time job that's the best thing not only you will be paid, you'll have experience, you'll meet more New people and the best thing is there will be 100% improvement in your interections. But make sure your part time job is not so heavy and hectic so that you won't be able to complete your assignment on time or miss your classes..I would recommend a Freelance writer!! (i'll do the full post on it later)

4.VOLUNTEER AND INTERN

Don't miss the golden opportunity of being an intern or volunteering. You'll not only be beneficial with the certificates they provide but also the experience you get out of those events are worth spending your time. This is the most interesting thing college student can do... Why not spend your time for a good purpose that helps poor people, aged, orphanage kids, teach etc. Join with NGOs do something good, I particularly have experience of doing an event with AIESEC DELHI UNIVERSITY and it was the most and the best experience I ever had. I would recommend you guys to join AIESEC in particular as it is a college student runned organisation which has its parts in most of the India and abroad as well and they provide student exchange programme to different countries. So Google it for more and check the recruitment dates. I will paste the link here soon

5.EFFECTIVE USE OF SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES

Likes and Comments are what keeping us all busy these days and it's entertaining, isn't it? But these are what we have been doing from so long so why not start a Fresh blog on what you love doing, Be it a fashion blog, beauty blog, poetry blog, food blog, technology blog, sports blog etc it can be whatever that interest you. Or else you can even run your College's page with the authorisation of the college administration etc.

6.CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Most of the student goes to college and come back directly to their respective hostel rooms or home and do nothing, I am regretting for not taking part in any college activities though I performed twice but it's not enough.. as you graduate from college these opportunities as such will come to an end and by the time you will regret as well. So make the most of every college activities

7.TAKE SOME EXTRA COURSES

I had a friend who took language classes when we were in college and by the time we graduate together she had an extra certificate of language course which is very beneficial. You can even take Computer course.. There are so many private institutions which are providing these courses

8.LIBRARY MEMBERSHIP

Every colleges have their own library but it's not enough for a college students because in most of our colleges the books are outdated and those new editions are limited and rare so the best way out is to become a membership in UNIVERSITY's library or you can also join state library.

9.GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE

"Comfort zone is beautiful place but nothing ever grows their" This is one of the best motivational line for me, isn't it good? It's very important to get out of your comfort zone and meet New people. One of the most important parts of college life is socialising. While some freshers revel in meeting new people, others can find themselves cut off by nerves and homesickness. However, it’s never too late to make new friends.Don’t be afraid to make converstion with others, whether they are roommates, classmates or even students from other years. You will find it gets easier as time goes on. Each person has a different stories and experience to share and so as your knowledge will grow and also isn't so boring going with the same school friend also in college? Try to indulge with people from different countries and communities you can learn so much from them and even you can teach them your culture and traditions...(GLOBALIZATION)

To conclude,You are no more a school student, the situation for you as of now is NOW OR NEVER so Make the most out of it and stop saying I CAN'T, I WON'T, I DON'T, TOMORROW (our tomorrow never comes).Go grab the opportunities don't think about what people will say if I do this and that.Keep in mind No one is born perfectly and so are you,him or her...until next time Enjoy your college moments and keep things balanced!!

I have some technical problem right now but as I get it right I will post links to some NGO sites and also part time jobs!!

much love

Monsoon BUZZ

Yes it's official, our favourite monsoon season is here :) Its kind of taboo in our society saying that those who love rains and it's season are considered to be Romantic in nature, but trust me guys I am nill in it hence I proved this taboo completely wrong..

some of you might not like this weather but can't help, where to escape right?? Anyways here are some of the very important Monsoon Buzz/Tips/warning which I feel is important to be aware of and I will be so glad if my words can help and it is why I am here!!! TO HELP :)

1.MOISTURISE YOUR SKIN

Always put on your moisturiser+SPF!!! In this weather we feel that it's so cool outside with no Heat but Friends Sunlight is here+there+everywhere so always moisturiser your skin or else you will end up looking dusky and your natural skin glow and it's textures will fade eventually. So this is the most basic thing you can do to your skin!!

2.GO LIGHT ON MAKEUP

It is this season of the year where, LIGHTER THE MAKE-UP BETTER YOU're GONNA LOOK!!

FOUNDATION Avoid using too much foundation especially cream foundations.Use loose powder or mineralized foundation. Instead go for BB-cream or a CC-Cream which helps you to looks natural and along with that it is light and perfect when it rains.

LIPGLOSS Glosses are of complete no when it rains, Rains will wash off your lip glosses instead use water-proof lipsticks in matte finish. Even a simple lips with a touch of balm will look great, this season is all about a nude lip Do :)

BRUSHES Due to the rains the stuff inside our room will be all moistured,so in situation like this one should specially take care of their Make-up brushes because we directly use the Brush to our skin so it should be clean and well managed. keep it in a dry place safely, I would prefer keeping it in a box which have a safe cover.

SAY NO TO CREAM BLUSH Use all those powder blushes and eyeshadows because the cream blushes make you feel sticky and uncomfort and might also result to an itching due to which our face skin are more sensitive. Prefer using more natural colors in the Monsoon as you’re opting for a rain friendly natural look. Go for some natural colors like pinks, peaches and browns and it won't be a problem if they fade or wash off a little bit due to the water.

3.INVEST ON WATERPROOF PRODUCT

If you don't want to look like a gothic who has her eye liner scrolling down her cheeks Go for Waterproof liners and also waterproof Mascara, I am using Maybelling Gel Eyeliner + Maybelline waterproof mascara..They are good and affordable!!

4.WEAR COLORS

When it rains the sky looks dull so in contrast you should wear colorful cloths and stand out differently, Neons are perfect for this season. Say BIG NO TO WHITE because it will be completely transparent and visible inside out if you get drenched in rain so ladies make sure of the colors and give no chance to your haters to be happy of anything :)

5.FLIPFLOPS

Flipflops are a must haves, avoid wearing leather shoes or flats because if it get wet the size will change I guess it shrinks and in some cases it gets bigger. Instead prefer for some funky flipflop as it suits with all types of cloths... BUT make sure you choose a nice flipflop which has a good grip other wise you might slip anywhere anytime!!

6.AVOID STREET-FOODS

I know it's hard but we can atleast Try not to eat those agree foods because the bacteria and flies will get double after rain specially on the foods... It's your choice whether you want to stay hygienic or not..Because what you eat will eventually react on your skin!!

To conclude, I would like to remind you to always carry UMBRELLA in order to help you from so Much of trouble :)

OKAY then Stay Hygenic and Enjoy the Monsoon :)

Much love
